Safety, Health and Environement (SHE) Policy
URAD – SA aims to maximise the benefit our products and services hold for clients, employees and partners. Therefore, we strive to do our daily tasks in a way that conforms to the requirements of relevant standards, regulations, legislation and other applicable requirements. URAD – SA will implement and maintain an SHE management system that complies with the requirements of international standards and client requirements.
Owing to changing business needs, URAD – SA is committed to continual improvement in the SHE performance of our operations. As such, leadership is committed to ensuring availability of the required finances, resources and skills to achieve our defined SHE objectives.
URAD – SA undertakes to ensure that our management system is developed, documented, implemented, communicated and maintained in a manner that is not only understood, but also effective at all levels in our business, to enable us to –
- identify, assess and manage the significant risks to all stakeholders;
- strive to achieve leading industry practice and recognition;
- meet and, where appropriate, exceed applicable legislation;
- define our SHE objectives and targets (including the reduction and prevention of pollution) and continually measure and monitor our activities and progress against our objectives;
- lead and develop our people and provide resources to achieve our targets;
- support the fundamental human rights of employees, contractors and communities in which we operate and safeguard them against exposure to unacceptable risk; and
- minimise the impact of our operations on the environment by controlling pollution, waste, hazardous materials and conserving natural resources.
As the management of URAD – SA, we will regularly review our progress and communicate results to all stakeholders in order to enable a relationship based on honesty, openness and mutual trust. In engaging them, we will share with our stakeholders the responsibility for meeting the requirements of this policy.
